Yousuf Ahmed, finance director of the athletics federation, expressed his happiness at the great successes achieved by Qatar athletics during the past season, noting that Qatar athletics achieved a great deal of distinction and superiority in numerous world, Arab and Asian championships and was the centre of attention, and said that what was achieved did not come out of nothing but through great work by all the federation’s members, coaches, administrators and champions constantly striving for excellence, and he extended his congratulations to Major General Dahlan Al Hamad, president of the Qatari and Asian federations and vice-president of the IAAF, on the great success achieved, hoping the coming season would see much more excellence on every world stage.
