Yousef Ahmed, head of the finance committee at the first Asian U18/U20 Championships, expressed his happiness at the great success achieved in the first two days of the championship. He said Qatar is always a pioneer in organising new championships and impresses everyone whenever it organises any tournament, which is why it enjoys the trust of the world and earns the honour of hosting World Cups. He said professional work and the pursuit of excellence is what helps every committee excel in any championship organised by the Qatar Athletics Federation, and said: There is no doubt that success makes everyone happy, and the recorded numbers are enough to confirm the required success, in addition to the happiness of the great start with the wonderful gold medal from the talented champion Mohanad Khamis
Thabet Sorour: Attention to the grassroots
For his part, Thabet Sorour, head of Al Rayyan’s athletics department, affirmed that Qatari organisation is always appreciated by the international and continental family, and that they are happy to host the first edition of the Asian U18/U20 Championships thanks to the efforts of HE Major General Dahlan Jumaan Al Hamad, president of the Qatari and Asian federations, who works hard to develop the mother of sports across Asia from the grassroots, with his clear imprint — which is why he earned the trust of the Asian family to continue as president of the federation.
