The Preparation and Equipment Committee, led by Yaqoub Abdullah, has made considerable and significant efforts to put the finishing touches on fitting out the covered Aspire hall with equipment and ground cabling for television broadcasting, and installing the digital results boards and other items, ahead of the official start of competition at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships next Friday. Yaqoub Abdullah, head of the championship’s Preparation and Equipment Committee, confirmed that all the arrangements within his committee, which comprises 50 people from among the best technical staff, including 7 supervisors, were complete, after they carried out excellent work around the clock over the past few days to fit out the Aspire hall with all the necessary sports equipment (throwing cages, the jump pit, and the high jump landing mat), noting that most of the team has good experience and knowledge, thanks to their extensive participation in all the indoor championships previously organised on Qatari soil, which is why they have translated our plan with precision, ahead of zero hour, especially since a great deal of equipment will be installed immediately after the conclusion of the opening ceremony proceedings next Friday, signalling the start of the official competitions. He described the Asian Championships as a new challenge for Qatari athletics, which has built up considerable experience on both the organisational and technical levels, and Abu Abdullah concluded his remarks by wishing everyone success at the Asian Indoor Championships.
