Tsatoumas: pleased with a good start despite hip problems

Greece’s Louis Tsatoumas commented on his win in the long jump, saying: “It was a good start to the season for me in the outdoor races, because I hadn’t jumped at all over the past three weeks due to hip problems, so I was cautious while running. I could have achieved a higher mark, but with this level of heat it was impossible to keep up my level throughout the competition. My next appearance will be at Papaflessia in Kalamata, my hometown, and winning the first Diamond League meeting gives me confidence to continue through the coming meetings.”
