The technical meeting for the championship was held yesterday at the venue hosting the championship’s competitions, Taipei Stadium, attended by delegates and representatives of 28 of the 33 Asian countries taking part in the competitions, with delegations continuing to arrive one after another until late yesterday evening.
During the technical meeting, the championship’s schedule was discussed and approved, and Asian federation officials listened to requests from some countries during the meeting, which set out the programme of events and races, in addition to settling some other matters typically discussed at such meetings.
Attending on behalf of our youth national team taking part were Mohammed Suleiman, Assistant Secretary General of the Athletics Federation and head of the delegation, and Saleh Ahmed Hassan Ali, the team’s administrator, in addition to the presence of Abdulhakim Al Omari, a member of the athletics federation’s board and of the Asian federation’s technical committee, and the championship’s observer.
