The ‘golden arrow’ Talal Mansour, assistant secretary-general of the Federation and chairman of the technical committee, congratulated the duo Owaab Barrow and Ammar Obaid Abdul Majeed after they successfully qualified for the World U20 Championships in Kenya, affirming that it was a step in the right direction, and wished them success in the competition.
Abu Fahad said in press remarks: “We expect more players to qualify in the coming period, as the team’s most valuable members are currently in training camps abroad for intensive preparation for the qualifying championships, and God willing we will see more than one Qatari athlete in Kenya.”
He added: “My message to the players who have qualified is that they have reached the halfway point, and whoever wants to be part of the next edition of the World Championships for seniors must work even harder and give their utmost, keeping the more important qualification in mind.”
The ‘golden arrow’ praised the outstanding planning and excellent strategy put in place by the Federation, saying its attention to the age-group categories is clear evidence of success and excellence.
