Our national athletics team’s delegation taking part in the 7th Asian Indoor Championships is headed by Secretary-General Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari, with Khalid Rashid Al Marri as team manager and Saleh Ahmed Hassan as administrator, while the Qatari national team comprises 24 male and female athletes who will represent Qatar in the indoor Asian challenge, namely: 60m runners Tosin, Francis, Eid Al Kuwari – 400m runners Abdalelah Haroun, Mohammed Nasser, Jamal Abdulnasser; 800m runners Musaab Balla, Jamal Hayran and Abubaker Haydar; 1500m runners Mohammed Al Garni, Sayid Aden, Musaab Adam; 3000m runners Mohammed Al Garni, Sayid Aden, Hashim Saleh; high jump: champion Mutaz Barshim, Muammar Barshim, Hamdi Al Amin; triple jump: Rashid Al Manai; combined event: champion Mohammed Al Manai. The technical staff comprises the following coaches – for sprints: Michel, Duane; for middle and short distances: Jama Aden, Idris Al Soussi, Ibrahim Aden, Yasser Al Sayyadi, Amin Khader; high jump: Stanley Zorba, Pavel Stanley, Ali Fadaq; triple jump coach Hristo; combined event coach Richard. The medical staff comprises specialist Sergey Bashkin and masseur Andrei Plotnikov. The women’s team is represented by Bashayer Obaid in the 60m and 400m, Dalal Musfir in the shot put, and Sara Al Manai in the combined event, along with Fatima Sasani. The women’s technical staff comprises coaches Tajine, Aya Faraj, Zubaida, and masseuse Vera.
