Our promising champion Abdulrahman Jamal Khasif: I achieved what was required, and more

Abdulrahman Jamal Khasif, our junior national team’s hammer and discus champion, said he had hoped to win gold on his first appearance at the Arab Championships, but considered winning bronze in the hammer a good result, especially as it came with a personal best – and that was what was required, and more, thank God.

Khasif added: “The competition was not easy at all, but thank God I was fortunate, and God willing this medal will be motivation to achieve more in the coming period and in future championships.”

Our champion thanked everyone at the Qatar federation for their great support for him and his teammates, stressing that, by all accounts, Qatar athletics is heading in the right direction
