Our golden star Femi Ogunode said at a press conference held at the InterContinental that he felt no anxiety or nerves. “I’m competing in the name of my country and in front of Qatar’s athletics fans, and I’ll do my best to make them proud. I have the will, the desire and the great enthusiasm to give my best and achieve something new, despite the tough competition,” he said.
Ogunode said: “I trust myself and my ability to succeed, and I feel no pressure at all. I’ll try to be at my best in this meeting to give a good performance, and I hope I manage that against a strong field of some of the best sprinters in the world.”
