Our talented gold champion Femi Ogunode won two golds at the Arab Athletics Championships, in the 100m and 200m, after outperforming all his rivals. Ogunode said: “I’m very happy with the golden double, and it is the fruit of strong preparation and my coach’s efforts. I had the determination and resolve to win gold, and I succeeded despite strong competition. I will certainly prepare hard for the Asian Championships because they will be tough, and in every championship I work hard to win gold. I hope to succeed at the Asian Championships and win more gold achievements that please the federation family led by Major General Dahlan Al Hamad and the fans of athletics.” He also thanked everyone who supported him over the past period, hoping to reach the best marks and results worthy of Qatari sport.
