Our golden star Mutaz Essa Barshim said finishing seventh in the high jump at the Doha Diamond League meeting did not worry him, as he had always viewed the meeting as just one stage in his intensive preparation for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Barshim added: “I didn’t have any special preparation for the Diamond League – it’s just part of my Olympic build-up, and we’re following a specific plan because the main goal is the Olympics”
