Mohammed Ahmed Suleiman, assistant secretary-general of the Qatar Federation, praised the huge crowd turnout that wrote yesterday’s certificate of success for the Diamond League. Suleiman, who heads the fan committee of the Doha Diamond League organising committee, said that no words, however carefully chosen, could do justice to the appreciation, admiration and gratitude owed to athletics fans, who as always lived up to expectations, packing most of the seats at Qatar SC’s Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium and playing their part through their presence and their constant, exemplary support for the champions, completing a dazzling symphony after we all enjoyed a rich feast of athletics.
