Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium at Qatar SC saw an outstanding turnout from all the communities that came to support the champions in the track and field events, with the large Ethiopian crowd taking centre stage in attendance and support inside the stadium, as Ethiopians stole the spotlight with their continuous cheering for the champions and their engagement with the athletics on show, both on the track and in the field, bringing total attendance to over 12,000 fans and marking the success of the Diamond League meeting. Mohammed Suleiman, assistant secretary-general of the Qatar Athletics Federation and chairman of the crowd committee, expressed his happiness at the large turnout, saying he had expected even more, while at the same time confirming the meeting’s success technically, administratively and organisationally.
