Mohammed Suleiman, assistant secretary general of the Qatar Athletics Federation, praised the Asian Youth Championships and HE Major General Dahlan Al Hamad’s keenness to achieve success for athletics on the continent in general and in Qatar in particular, and said Suleiman that success was evident in organising the Asian Athletics Championships for the first time, noting that the championship is a great opportunity for Qatar’s promising athletes to gain technical benefit.
Suleiman congratulated the Qatari athletics family and the athletes on Qatar’s first gold medal at the championships, achieved by champion Mohanad Khamis, who excelled in the Asian challenge, confirming that Qatar’s grassroots of young talent is in good shape and has its whole future ahead of it in terms of development.
Suleiman confirmed that the championships revealed the excellence of a number of promising athletes on the continent who will have a major role in the mother of sports in the future, especially our promising champion Mohanad Khamis, who will have a place among the champions of the future
