Mohammed Sulaiman, Assistant Secretary General at the athletics federation and director of our national team, dedicated the achievements won by our champions to HH the Amir of the country, HE the Secretary General of the Olympic Committee, HE the federation president, and all the sons and daughters of the Qatari people and the lovers and fans of Qatari sport, while also praising the wonderful performance, high spirit and self-confidence with which our champions performed all the way to the podium, adding: “Thank God, we have broken the Hiroshima record that had stood for 20 years, and we are seeking to reach a rich haul of coloured medals” and to do Qatar credit, hoping that the joy would be complete today and that our champions would succeed in winning further coloured medals and precious metal.
