Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari, Secretary General and head of the Qatari delegation, expressed his great confidence in the promising generation to give an honourable representation of Qatar in athletics, saying the participation comes as part of continuing Qatari successes in athletics at the Asian level on one hand, and gaining more experience and preparation for the challenge of the World Championships at the youth level on the other. He confirmed that the delegation includes an entire generation of juniors taking part in the youth category for the first time in Asia, except for two who are competing in their own category, and the head of the delegation added that the Qatar federation’s approach of presenting continuous generations of success is proceeding steadily, given that a promising generation competes alongside the seniors while another is on its way to the youth stage, in addition to youth champions competing in the open category, such as world champion Abdalelah Haroun, who competes with the seniors despite being from the youth generation, but the long-term view along the path of achievement has made room for other promising champions, wishing success to Qatar’s champions in raising the flag of the challenge
