Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari, Secretary General of the Athletics Federation, affirmed that sponsorship for the Diamond League has begun positively, noting: “we have a number of sponsorship and funding agreements, and the start was the signing of the partnership agreement with Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence, and in the coming days we are working to sign further sponsorship agreements for the 2014 Diamond meeting” .
He also affirmed that the InterContinental Doha The City hotel will be the base for the male and female champions taking part in the Diamond League, and that the advertising campaign for the championship will begin in the coming days and spread across Doha, as the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium and track at Qatar SC will host the Diamond League challenge in its first stop, and he revealed a great deal of effort and steady work by the championship’s organising committee to ensure excellent technical preparations for the meeting, which will kick off in Doha on 9 May.
