Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari, secretary general of the Athletics Federation and a member of the Arab federation, revealed the key points of the Arab federation’s meeting held in Sharm El Sheikh under the chairmanship of Salman Al Zaidi. He said Mai Al Mohammadi, chair of the federation’s women’s committee, had been named a new member of the Arab federation’s women’s committee, in addition to the creation of a marketing committee and work to develop Arab athletics through a series of decisions. He noted that the development seminar organised by the centre affiliated with the IAAF has a great deal of benefit for the participating Arab federations, especially given the great effort put in by the federations themselves to achieve the best possible participation and successful administrative work, thereby keeping pace with the search for a complete strategy. He said Arab athletics now has a presence at every major event, whether through champions or through administrative, refereeing and technical participation, and that he sees the seminar as a search for new horizons for Arab athletics.
