Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, the new president of the Athletics Federation, expressed his happiness at being elected president of the federation and at winning the trust of the board members and general assembly members
Al Fadala said: “I extend my thanks to all the board members and general assembly members for their great trust,” expressing his hope of living up to everyone’s expectations in the coming period, and of working with all members to do everything possible to raise the standing of Qatari athletics and continue achieving success at every level.
Al Fadala added: “We will work together to develop athletics and preserve Qatari athletics’ standing in Asia and the world, and to focus on the grassroots through support and assistance
and organise numerous local championships to discover new talent, nurture it and bring it into the national teams.”
He continued: “I thank my dear brother HE Dr Thani Al Kuwari and the federation’s board members and all my colleagues in Qatari athletics.. God willing, we will together continue working to elevate the sport and develop it, and achieve further successes at continental and international level.”
