Mohammed Al Garni, our talented Olympic champion who claimed the Asian 1500m and 5000m gold double, expressed his great happiness at this new achievement and second gold medal. He said: “I thank God greatly for the victory and remarkable Asian achievement I’ve secured, having retained my Asian titles. I dedicate these achievements to our wise leadership, all officials and the federation president for their support, which helped us reach this success. God willing, my next goal is the World Championships in China, for which I have already achieved the qualifying marks. I wish my remaining team-mates success in the challenges ahead.”
