Major General Dahlan Al Hamad, president of the Qatar and Asian federations: We seek to achieve every benefit for Arab athletics for an ideal future

Major General Dahlan Al Hamad, president of the Qatar and Asian federations and vice-president of the IAAF, affirmed that the seminar held in Sharm El Sheikh holds a great deal of benefit for the future of Arab athletics, as it contributes to the search for an ideal future, especially since developing any champion, official or referee comes through a complete vision aimed at improving the prospects of Arab athletics. He said: “We are pleased with this large gathering in Sharm El Sheikh to take part in the development seminar for a future strategy, which benefits athletics in every country present, since every federation is constantly seeking excellence, hard work and determination to keep pace with countries with a long history in the sporting arena. The point, therefore, is to benefit from every detail of the seminar, and our federation’s members’ attendance is undoubtedly aimed at gaining every benefit and reaching the desired goal.

He said Arab athletics has always sought the language of excellence in all technical and administrative participation alike, and that this only comes through continuous effort in seeking knowledge and everything new in athletics, a sport that brings something new every day. He said Arab athletics is not far from the language of excellence, having achieved a great deal in past periods of field and track success, and through its technical, coaching and administrative presence on the world stage, and that the goal has always been, and remains, to confirm that Arab athletics will always be at the forefront.
