Mai Al Mohammadi, a board member of the Qatar Athletics Federation and a member of the Arab federation’s women’s committee, praised the outstanding standards seen at the 5th Arab Championships in Tunisia, especially among the girls, stressing that Arab women had clearly stood out and excelled across all races and events too. She said these good standards would be a strong incentive and encouraging factor to establish a dedicated women’s championship at Arab level, and on her assessment of our national team’s level, she said Mariam Fareed had not had the best of luck in this event but had gained valuable experience that will benefit her in the future, and that they make allowances for all their champions given they are busy with exams and studies, hoping for better things in future championships, God willing
