Mai Al Mohammadi, a board member of the Athletics Federation and director of the girls’ centre and the girls’ team at the Asian U18/U20 Championships, affirmed that the results of our national team’s junior champions at the first Asian U18/U20 Championships were logical, especially since they are younger and less experienced than their rivals, noting that the Asian championships were an important, strong dress rehearsal for our juniors ahead of the Arab championships hosted by Tunisia next month. She pointed out that the championship saw plenty of competition and new numbers, especially since a world record was even set, which shows the level of strength present at the championship — something that helps motivate the champions for the challenges ahead. She thanked everyone who contributed to the success achieved so far and expressed her hope of reaching full excellence
