Mai Al Mohammadi, a member of the Athletics Federation and head of the Public Relations Committee for the Asian Indoor Championships, expressed her satisfaction with the successful progress of preparations for the major event, saying that the committees had provided all their members with everything needed to ensure smoothness and reassurance for all participants, whether administrators, athletes, officials or media and technical staff. She said: “During the past period we have worked to provide all the necessary resources and made numerous contacts to provide everything that serves the participants in the Asian event, without overlooking anything that might cause a problem at any time.”
She confirmed that our national team’s female champions are ready to take part in the Asian event, though she expressed regret at the absence of some due to injury, and hoped our champions would succeed in delivering a great deal and honouring Qatari athletics at an event that will be extremely strong. She thanked the entire technical and administrative staff for supporting our champions in recent days, and said that not taking part in the recent Arab Championships was aimed at giving the girls the chance for the best preparation, free of any obstacles.
