Khalifa Abdulmalik, executive director of the Qatar Athletics Federation and head of the jumps section, expressed his delight at Aspire’s sponsorship of Mutaz Barshim, saying this sponsorship means a great deal to all athletics jumpers and is a major morale boost for Mutaz Barshim ahead of the Olympics. Abdulmalik affirmed that coach Stanislav, Barshim’s coach, would also benefit the academy with his long experience through the sponsorship deal and agreement signed with him, noting that all the technical sections would benefit from this agreement. Abdulmalik affirmed that Mutaz Barshim is the champion of today and the future, and that sponsoring him means all champions can reach Mutaz’s level, which means more technical focus on talent.
