World-class coach Jama Aden, who trains talented runner Musaab Abdulrahman Balla, set to take on the 800m challenge this morning, said Musaab was in the best technical and physical shape and ready for the championships, having reached a distinctive level of form this season through various meets in which he took part and improved his time. Coach Jama said his only fear for Musaab was an injury that might hold him back, but that he had developed a great deal, was an ambitious and committed runner, and had a goal he was determined to achieve.
Jama said the 800m field included giants of the track such as Kenya’s Rudisha and Mohamed Aman, along with a host of the world’s leading names in the event, but that he had no fears for his athlete in the contest, since he trusted his mental strength in the race and his physical capacity across its different phases.
