Femi, our world-class champion, great “hurricane” and Asia’s fastest man, expressed his immense happiness at his gold-medal achievement. He said: “The Asian record is certainly wonderful, but it’s not the end of my ambition – my goal is the World Championships in China and taking on the very best, especially as I feel I haven’t yet reached my peak level, and I have two months left to fulfil my legitimate dream of representing Qatar well at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing 2015.” He dedicated the achievement to our wise leadership, the Olympic committee president, the federation president and members, and everyone who has supported him throughout the past period, and Femi hopes to achieve new milestones.
