As part of its strong focus on the media’s role and appreciation of their efforts in making the global event a success, the organising committee made sure to set up a first-class media centre for journalists and media representatives from around the world as well as from local media outlets.
The indoor hall used for table tennis at Qatar SC’s Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium was converted into the meeting’s media centre, equipped with computers and internet access for journalists, in addition to a full buffet.
Many foreign journalists were present to cover the event, and they expressed great admiration for the meeting’s high standard of organisation and the facilities provided for the media.
