Coach Jama Aden congratulated champion Musab Abdulrahman on his gold medal, saying he had expected this from Musab because he knows his abilities well and has coached him on many technical aspects through which he hopes to take him to the world stage. Jama Aden, the coach who specialises in the 800m and producing world-class champions, confirmed regarding Musab that he possesses better than this time, but he saw the athlete’s ability to win the race without using all his capabilities, especially as the World Championships in Poland await the athlete and there is no need to show all his technical capabilities on the continent, noting that the race was not easy and was very fierce, but Musab’s great skill on the bends and his high level of focus carried him to the top of the podium with gold. Aden said Musab will be a tough contender in the 800m at world level, but that more work is needed with him on the tactical side, and that the clear approach followed by Qatari athletics in developing champions and bringing them up gradually will help him, as a coach, to take Musab to the world stage in the coming period, especially as the athlete is now ranked among the world’s top ten champions according to the IAAF rankings, which will be a big morale boost for the athlete ahead of the challenge of the World Indoor Championships in the Polish city of Sopot next March.
Jama congratulated Dahlan Al Hamad, president of the Asian and Qatar athletics federations, saying the success reflects the soundness of the approach followed in Qatar for producing champions.
