There is no doubt that Al Sadd’s athletics has always aspired to every title, but the competition has grown, and there are clubs that now possess many talents, meaning the championships have become stronger and at a higher level, and I hope Al Sadd continues at the top”

Abdulhamid Khamis, head coach of Al Gharafa club, expressed his complete satisfaction with what his club achieved this season, despite it being his last with them before departing, and said: “Finishing runners-up in the most prestigious championship pleases us, especially given the absence of many of the club’s champions, but at the same time we saw new records set, which is a positive thing, and so Al Gharafa has a great deal of talent. He had hoped to continue the successful journey and reach first place, but what was achieved is very satisfactory, and I say today that Al Gharafa will continue to unearth promising talent and work to bring it to a level that serves the national teams and Al Gharafa club in every event”
