Bahrain’s athletes wrote their names into the history books by winning the mixed 4x400m relay, the first race of its kind held on the Asian continent after being introduced for the first time at the Asian Championships in Doha.
Bahrain’s team won gold after finishing the race in first place in 3:15.75, certainly a new Asian record.
India won the silver medal, while bronze went to Japan.
