The Athletics Federation and Aspire signed a sponsorship and partnership agreement, with Major General Dahlan Jumaan Al Hamad, president of the Qatari and Asian athletics federations, and Ivan Bravo, Aspire’s director, signing the agreement at a press conference held at the InterContinental Hotel in the presence of Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari, the Athletics Federation’s secretary general.
At the start of the conference, Major General Dahlan Al Hamad gave a welcoming speech to those present, and extended thanks and appreciation to Aspire officials for their distinguished, ongoing relationship with the Athletics Federation, and Major General Al Hamad said they considered their distinguished relationship with Aspire to be a partnership, not merely a sponsorship agreement, noting that the partnership agreement runs throughout the year, not just for the Diamond League meeting to be hosted by Doha, capital of world sport, in early May with the participation of a galaxy of the world’s best male and female athletics stars, but for all the local championships and tournaments they organise, as well as sponsoring their stars.
Major General Al Hamad added during the conference: we thank Aspire’s management for its material, moral and technical support for athletics, noting that Aspire is a fundamental pillar of athletics, and that they were proud of their partnership with it and valued the continuity of their cooperation.
