Al Ahli Sports Club excellently organised the second athletics festival for the Hope category on its main pitch at four o’clock on Wednesday, 1 December 2010, attended by Mr Adel Mohamed Al Baker, Secretary-General, and Mr Eissa Abdullah Al Harami, Assistant Secretary-General, the festival’s technical supervisors, as well as Mr Yacoub Yousef Abdullah, a board member, and members of Al Ahli’s board of directors and the club’s administrative and technical staff, along with administrative and technical staff from the other clubs. After a superb contest between the clubs, Al Sadd Sports Club settled the matter and had the final word, winning the festival for the second
time with a total of 53 points, while host club Al Ahli finished second with 50 points and Qatar SC came third with 49.5 points. After the results were announced, the winning clubs in the top three places were honoured individually and by team by Mr Adel Al Baker, the federation’s Secretary-General, Mr Eissa Al Harami, Assistant Secretary-General, and Mr Yacoub Abdullah, board member. Everyone then went to dinner, prepared by the club’s board of directors for its guests and for the officials and coaches taking part in the festival, after which the federation’s Secretary-General thanked and praised Al Ahli for hosting the festival and for the efforts made by the club’s administrative and technical athletics staff and the officials overseeing the venues, congratulating them on finishing second.
The following are the final results of the second Hope category festival:
– First: Al Sadd, 53 points.
– Second: Al Ahli, 50 points.
– Third: Qatar SC, 49.5 points.
– Fourth: Al Rayyan, 46 points.
– Fifth: Al Gharafa, 39.5 points.
– Sixth: Al Arabi, 25.5 points
– Seventh: Al Khor, 16.5 points
– Eighth: Al Wakrah, 16 points
