Al Sadd confirm their dominance at the second Amal category athletics festival

Al Sadd Sports Club confirmed its dominance over Qatari clubs at the second athletics festival for children in the Amal category (9 + 10 + 11 years), after winning for the second time in the athletics festivals, which included eight events for children: 30m sprint, Formula 1, relay, hurdles sprint, long jump, box jumps, forward ball throw, and javelin throw. This was at the second festival, held on Tuesday 15 December 2009, hosted for the second time by Al Rayyan Sports Club at the outdoor pitch. Al Rayyan Sports Club came second and Al Gharafa Sports Club came third. Below are the final results for the clubs at the second Amal category athletics festival:-

At the end of the festival, Mr Adel Al Baker, secretary general, Mr Yaqoub Yousef Abdullah, board member, and Ms Maryam Al Ishaq, board member and technical supervisor of the festival, presented medals and trophies to the three winning teams. The third children’s athletics festival will be held on 22 March 2010.
