Abdul Hakim Al Omari, Athletics Federation board member and technical committee chairman, praised the outstanding participation in the Starter’s Permit workshop organised by the IAAF, represented by the Regional Development Centre, in cooperation with the Qatar Athletics Federation, saying the lectures given at the workshop by Germany’s Mark Clark added a great deal for the participants.
Al Omari praised the efforts of the Qatar Athletics Federation, led by Major General Dahlan Al Hamad, in training Arab officials in general and Qatari officials in particular, for the benefit expected of them in future challenges, noting that participation in the Asian Youth Championships would add a great deal for the workshop’s participants and represents a major opportunity for development. He noted that Qatari athletics is developing according to a steady plan in many areas the federation focuses on, and Al Omari, who took part in the lectures by sharing his technical expertise with the participants, wished them success in their technical careers in athletics.
