A few days separate us from the start of the 13th IAAF World Indoor Championships, and from my vantage point close
to the Qatar Athletics Federation, I see without the slightest doubt that this championship will be a landmark in the history of IAAF World Indoor Championships, and it is as if I can hear the championship speaking, saying it has surpassed all before it and worn out all that will follow, and sporting history will record the most magnificent success for the most magnificent IAAF World Indoor Championship. This is from close observation of the preparations and arrangements under way for the championship’s launch, and I wish it every success.
